How It Works
How does LiverGuard differ from other liver supplements?
Most popular liver supplements contain herbs (milk thistle, artichoke, dandelion) or low doses of phosphatidylcholine. They work primarily as hepatoprotectors — protecting liver cells and supporting detoxification, but they do not transport fats out of the liver.
LiverGuard is a lipotropic complex — it works through four pathways simultaneously:
- Fat transport out — Choline (407 mg pure choline per dose). Without choline, the liver cannot form VLDL particles to export accumulated fats. Most products deliver under 100 mg of pure choline; LiverGuard delivers 4× more.
- Stopping new fat accumulation — Inositol (850 mg) improves insulin sensitivity and reduces fat storage signals.
- Regeneration & detoxification — Methionine (850 mg) converts to SAMe and Glutathione, supporting cell repair.
- Antioxidant protection & anti-fibrosis — Taurine (850 mg) + Zinc (7.5 mg) reduce oxidative stress and protect against liver tissue hardening.
Total active ingredients per dose: 3,407.5 mg — in therapeutic amounts, not symbolic ones. Herbal supplements and LiverGuard are not competitors — they complement each other. We recommend taking milk thistle alongside LiverGuard.
Is LiverGuard a medicine?
No. LiverGuard is a registered food supplement with the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA), reg. No. P222405322 / 01.07.2024. It contains essential and conditionally essential nutrients — choline, inositol, methionine, taurine, and zinc — that the body needs from an external source but cannot produce in sufficient quantities.
LiverGuard is not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any disease. It supports normal liver function by providing the nutrients the liver needs to work properly.
How does LiverGuard work for fatty liver disease?
In fatty liver disease (steatosis), fat accumulates in liver cells because the body lacks sufficient key nutrients to export it. The most critical is choline — without it, the liver cannot form VLDL particles, which are its only mechanism for transporting fats out.
LiverGuard delivers high doses of choline (407 mg pure choline per dose) together with inositol, methionine, and taurine. These four nutrients work synergistically: simultaneously exporting accumulated fats, stopping new fat buildup, supporting cell regeneration, and protecting against further damage.
Results & Expectations
When will I feel results?
Most customers report noticeable improvement after about 30–40 days (approximately one package). The most commonly reported first changes are: waking up feeling refreshed, less post-meal fatigue, a milder hangover, and more energy throughout the day.
The full course for maximum effect is 3 packages (about 3 months at 1 scoop per day). We recommend getting blood tests before you start and after completing the course to see objective changes.
LiverGuard is not a magic pill — it delivers the nutrients the liver needs to recover. That is a biological process that takes time. If the condition has been developing for years, it is unrealistic to expect full reversal in days.
How can I track whether LiverGuard is working?
The most objective way is through blood tests before and after your course. Get tested before you start, then repeat after a minimum of 30 days.
Liver panel: ALT, AST, GGT, ALP, Bilirubin
Cholesterol panel: Total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, Triglycerides
Imaging: Liver ultrasound — shows the presence and degree of fatty infiltration and liver size visually.
These tests can be requested from your GP or done at a private lab. Comparing your “before” and “after” results is the strongest evidence that LiverGuard is working for your specific body.
Will LiverGuard help me lose weight?
LiverGuard is not a weight-loss product. However, if your excess weight is linked to impaired liver metabolism (which is common), restoring normal liver function may contribute to healthier weight management as a secondary effect.
Some customers report weight loss, but this is not a guaranteed or universal result. If your primary goal is weight loss, LiverGuard can be a useful addition — but not a replacement for balanced nutrition and physical activity.
Important: Do not pursue aggressive dieting (losing more than 1 kg per week) before your liver function has normalised. Crash diets place additional stress on the liver.
Safety & Compatibility
Is LiverGuard safe? Are there any side effects?
LiverGuard is safe. It is manufactured from triple-tested raw materials (tested for bacteria, mould, and heavy metals) in one of the most advanced GMP-certified supplement manufacturing facilities in Bulgaria.
No serious side effects have been reported. The only thing to note: if you start with a high dose (2 or more scoops per day), some people experience more frequent bowel movements and/or softer stools during the first week. This is a normal response from the activation of fat metabolism and passes within 2–7 days. This is not diarrhoea, but more intense liver and digestive activity.
Recommendation: Start with 1 scoop during the first week. If you want to accelerate the cleanse, from the second week you can increase to 2–4 scoops per day.
Can I take LiverGuard together with medications?
LiverGuard contains nutrients (choline, inositol, methionine, taurine, zinc) that are naturally present in food. No interactions with medications have been established at recommended doses.
However, if you are on chronic medication or have a serious health condition, we recommend consulting your doctor before starting. This is good practice for any new supplement.
We have customers who take numerous daily medications and report that LiverGuard has helped them significantly — precisely because the liver is the organ that metabolises all drugs, and keeping it in good shape is crucial.
I have liver inflammation. Is LiverGuard suitable for me?
Yes. LiverGuard supports the liver’s self-healing processes regardless of the source of inflammation. The active ingredients — particularly methionine (which converts to SAMe and glutathione) and taurine (with its antioxidant properties) — support regeneration and reduce oxidative stress.
Can LiverGuard be taken with serious liver diseases like hepatitis or cirrhosis?
Yes — LiverGuard supports the liver’s self-healing processes regardless of the cause of the condition. For serious medical diagnoses, however, you must consult your treating physician.
LiverGuard is not a substitute for medical treatment. It is a supplement that provides the nutrients the liver needs for regeneration.
Who should NOT take LiverGuard?
LiverGuard should not be taken by pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and infants. It is also not suitable for people with hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients (choline, inositol, methionine, taurine, zinc).
In all other cases — including chronic conditions or medication use — the product is safe, but we recommend consulting your doctor before starting.
Dosage & Use
How much LiverGuard should I take and how?
Dissolve 1 measuring scoop (4.9 g) in 250 ml of cold or room-temperature water. For best mixing, use a hand frother or shaker.
Loading phase:
- Weeks 1–2: 1 scoop per day (preferably at lunch)
- From week 3 onward: 2 scoops per day (lunch and dinner) — only after your stomach has adapted
Full course: 3 packages. At 1 scoop per day, that is approximately 3 months. At 2 scoops, approximately 60 days.
Maintenance phase: After completing the course — 1 scoop per day or every 2–3 days. We recommend at least two courses per year to prevent re-accumulation of fat.
Can I take more than 2 scoops a day to speed up results?
Yes. We have tested doses of up to 4 measuring scoops per day on ourselves. At that rate, you complete the full recommended course of 3 packages in approximately one month. Be aware that this dose may have a laxative effect.
How long can I take LiverGuard? Is a break necessary?
There is no limit on the duration of use. For long-term liver health maintenance, the ideal approach is at least two courses per year, since the liver can re-accumulate fat with an unhealthy diet, alcohol consumption, or medication use. We have customers who take it year-round to prevent future fat accumulation.
Can I take LiverGuard before or after drinking alcohol?
Yes. Many of our customers take LiverGuard before drinking alcohol and report a significantly reduced or completely eliminated hangover. Some take 2 scoops before going out.
Keep in mind that LiverGuard is not a licence to drink without limits — it supports the liver in handling alcohol more effectively, but the healthiest approach remains moderate consumption.
Product & Storage
What flavours does LiverGuard come in?
LiverGuard is available in 4 flavours: Raspberry (most popular), Mango, Melon, and Mojito. The taste is pleasant and fruity — most customers describe it as “drinks like juice”. Having multiple flavours gives you variety during a longer course.
The powder in my package has clumped or granulated. Is it spoiled?
No — this is completely normal and has no effect whatsoever on the safety or effectiveness of LiverGuard.
The active ingredients in LiverGuard are hygroscopic — they naturally attract and absorb moisture from the air. When the package is left open or the silica sachet (the small packet inside) is removed, the powder can granulate within about a month of opening, especially in humid storage conditions.
The product is not spoiled. The granules dissolve fully when mixed with water, exactly like the powder. Flavour, safety, and effectiveness are fully preserved.
To prevent clumping: Close the package tightly after each use, do not remove the silica sachet, and store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. LiverGuard has a shelf life of 3 years from the production date (unopened).
Does it dissolve easily?
Yes — LiverGuard dissolves quickly in cold or room-temperature water. For best results, use a hand frother (milk frother) or a shaker. It can be taken during or after a meal.
Specific Conditions
I have high cholesterol. Can LiverGuard help?
The liver is the body’s cholesterol “factory” — it produces, processes, and regulates the balance between HDL (“good”) and LDL (“bad”) cholesterol. When liver function is impaired, this balance is disrupted.
LiverGuard supports the normalisation of lipid metabolism by delivering choline (required for fat transport), inositol (contributes to normal triglyceride and cholesterol levels), and methionine (supports detoxification). Many customers report improved cholesterol profiles after a full course, confirmed by blood tests.
LiverGuard is not a cholesterol medication. If you are taking statins or other therapy, consult your doctor.
Can LiverGuard help after an anabolic steroid cycle?
Yes. Anabolic steroids significantly burden the liver — they elevate liver enzymes (ALT, AST), worsen the cholesterol profile, and can cause inflammation. LiverGuard delivers methionine (a precursor of glutathione — the liver’s primary antioxidant), taurine (reduces inflammation and supports regeneration), and choline (helps clear accumulated fats).
We recommend blood tests before and after the course to objectively track the improvement.
Does LiverGuard help with gallbladder issues?
The liver and gallbladder work in tandem — the liver produces bile, and the gallbladder stores and releases it as needed. When liver function is impaired, bile consistency can deteriorate, leading to heaviness after fatty meals and discomfort.
LiverGuard supports normal liver function, which in turn contributes to improved bile quality. Taurine in the formula plays a particularly important role — it participates directly in the conjugation of bile acids.
For diagnosed gallstones or other gallbladder conditions, consult a doctor.
Purchase & Delivery
How many packages do I need?
It depends on your goal:
- 1 package (~1 month at 1 scoop/day) — enough to feel the first improvements and judge if the product is right for you.
- 2 packages — the most popular choice. Provides sufficient duration for visible results.
- 3 packages (full course) — the recommended course for maximum effect, confirmed by blood tests and ultrasound. Also offers the best price per package.
Why does LiverGuard seem more expensive than other liver supplements?
When comparing prices, compare what you get per dose, not the price per box.
LiverGuard contains 3,407.5 mg of active ingredients per dose — including 407 mg of pure choline. Most popular liver support products deliver under 100 mg of pure choline and contain no inositol, methionine, taurine, or zinc.
To get the same amount of pure choline found in one package of LiverGuard, you would need to buy 6–7 boxes of most popular alternatives — at a cost of 100–110 EUR. And even then, you would not get the other four active ingredients.
Do you have a money-back guarantee?
Yes — we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied, you can return the product. See the return conditions for full details.
Delivery is free on orders over 50 EUR and is fulfilled within 2 business days.

Additional Questions
Do I need to follow a diet while taking LiverGuard?
It is not required, but you will see faster results if you reduce fast carbohydrates — sugar, honey, glucose-fructose syrup (found in fizzy drinks, juices, pastries, and many processed foods). This is a gentle change, not a radical diet.
Important: if you are overweight, do not pursue aggressive dieting (losing more than 1 kg per week) before your liver function has normalised. Rapid weight loss places additional stress on the liver. Support the liver first, then optimise your weight.
Why does LiverGuard contain zinc?
Zinc (7.5 mg zinc gluconate per dose) serves two important roles in the complex. First, it is a powerful antioxidant that helps reduce oxidative stress in the liver. Second, studies show that zinc can slow fibrosis processes (hardening of liver tissue) — one of the most serious consequences of prolonged fatty liver disease.
The dose is calibrated to complement the action of the other ingredients without exceeding safe daily intake limits.
I don’t have a diagnosed fatty liver. Does it make sense to take LiverGuard preventively?
Yes. Fatty liver disease affects up to 40% of people over 35 in developed countries, and many of them have no symptoms and are unaware of the problem. If your lifestyle includes irregular eating, alcohol consumption, stress, a sedentary lifestyle, or medication use, your liver likely needs support.
LiverGuard delivers nutrients that modern diets rarely provide in sufficient quantities — especially choline. Even without a diagnosis, liver maintenance is an investment in your overall health, energy, and longevity.
Do you have blood test results from real customers?
Yes — we have anonymised blood test results from customers showing improvements in liver enzymes and cholesterol profiles. Many customers share specific improvements in their reviews — normalised ALT/AST values, reduced fatty infiltration (confirmed by ultrasound), and significantly improved overall wellbeing.
We also encourage you to do your own tests before and after your course — it is the most objective way to see the result for your specific body.
